If you're interested in the recipe, it can be found here. I made the cake without the white cake layer (seriously, how does Rosie have so much time?). I used the recipe linked from Martha Stewart for the lemon curd filling and used cream cheese frosting with yellow food coloring and lemon extract (about 1 1/2 tablespoons) for the icing. It was very good. And also very rich.
And Allison found these adorable little cake boxes at Michael's and added sweet embellishments so we could send cake home with guests.
It was a pretty sweet day (pun totally intended). I think I am going to make cake or dessert-themed parties a regular occurrence now.
